Shapeshifting is one of the most versatile mutation categories in existence. While some mutants use their abilities primarily for disguise and infiltration, others develop complete mastery over their own biology, allowing them to alter their bodies in extraordinary ways.

No two shapeshifters are exactly alike.

Some focus on mimicking other people.

Others develop natural weapons, enhanced mobility, or adaptive biology. The most powerful shapeshifters become living works of biological art, capable of transforming themselves to overcome almost any challenge.

As a shapeshifter's powers evolve, they gain greater control, flexibility, and understanding of their own physical form.

What begins as a simple disguise can eventually become complete biological mastery.

Rank 1: Surface Mimicry

The mutant can alter their appearance to resemble another humanoid individual.

Changes include:

  • Face

  • Hair

  • Eye Colour

  • Skin Tone

  • Apparent Age

  • Gender Presentation

Limitations:

  • Cannot alter height by more than 6 inches.

  • Cannot mimic powers.

  • Physical contact grants observers a +5 bonus to notice the disguise.

  • Lasts 5 rounds.

Rank 2: Complete Physical Mimicry

The mutant can now alter their entire body structure.

Additional Benefits:

  • Mimic height and weight.

  • Mimic voice.

  • Mimic fingerprints.

  • Mimic retinal patterns.

  • Gain advantage on Deception checks while disguised.

Duration:

10 rounds.

Rank 3: Adaptive Morphology

The mutant gains complete control over their biology.

Additional Benefits:

  • Grow claws, blades, tentacles, wings, etc.

  • Stretch limbs.

  • Compress body through small spaces.

  • Alter body density.

  • Gain natural weapons.

Duration:

1 hour.

Rank 4: Biological Perfection

The mutant can alter themselves into almost any living form.

Additional Benefits:

  • Transform into animals.

  • Mimic unusual body structures.

  • Adapt to hostile environments.

  • Gain minor biological abilities from copied forms.

  • Regenerate minor injuries while transformed.

Duration:

24 hours.

Rank 5: Omega Morph

The mutant's body becomes completely fluid.

Additional Benefits:

  • Unlimited duration.

  • Perfect impersonation.

  • Instantly alter form as a free action.

  • Become liquid-like.

  • Rearrange organs.

  • Survive otherwise fatal injuries.

  • Create multiple temporary limbs.

  • Mimic certain physical mutant traits.

The character can remain transformed indefinitely.
