Professor Li Wei

"DRAGONEYE"

Head of Philosophy, Ethics, and Strategic Studies

Professor Li Wei, known throughout the Institute by his long-established nickname "Dragoneye," serves as the Arcadian Institute's Head of Philosophy, Ethics, and Strategic Studies.

Widely respected as both an educator and community leader, Professor Li has spent much of his life studying philosophy, moral reasoning, leadership, history, and strategic thinking. His reputation as a thoughtful scholar and mentor extends far beyond the walls of Arcadian, earning him admiration from students, academics, civic leaders, and members of the wider mutant community alike.

Born and raised in Emerald City's historic Jadetown district, Professor Li remains deeply connected to the community he calls home. He has long been recognised as one of Jadetown's most dedicated advocates and protectors, working tirelessly to preserve its culture, traditions, and sense of identity in an ever-changing world. His commitment to the neighbourhood has made him a familiar and respected figure to generations of local families.

At Arcadian Institute, Professor Li oversees programmes designed to help students develop critical thinking, ethical judgement, leadership skills, and strategic awareness. His classes encourage students to explore difficult questions, challenge their assumptions, and consider the consequences of their actions. Discussions frequently range from classical philosophy and political theory to modern social issues, personal responsibility, and the ethical challenges that come with extraordinary abilities.

Students quickly discover that Professor Li is less interested in providing easy answers than he is in teaching them how to ask the right questions.

Known for his calm demeanour and thoughtful presence, Professor Li commands attention without ever needing to raise his voice. His lectures are engaging, reflective, and often unexpectedly profound. While his standards are high, he is deeply committed to helping students develop into responsible, compassionate, and thoughtful adults.

Outside the classroom, Professor Li remains an active mentor to many students, particularly those struggling with questions of identity, purpose, or responsibility. He is often sought out for advice, and many students find his perspective invaluable when navigating difficult decisions.

Although he is widely admired for his wisdom and self-discipline, those who know him well also appreciate his dry humour, quiet kindness, and genuine belief in the potential of every student who walks through Arcadian's doors.

Professor Li often reminds his students that knowledge alone is never enough.

Wisdom comes from understanding how to use it.

At Arcadian Institute, few educators embody wisdom, integrity, and thoughtful leadership more completely than Professor Li Wei.
